Projects focused on the implementation and modernization of high voltage substations with an emphasis on efficiency and reliability, conducted with the technical and operational standards that characterize BR Infra.
BR Infra carried out the modernization of the Itapaci Substation, increasing its reliability and efficiency through civil works, electromechanical installation, and electrical upgrades at 230 kV.
The project included the upgrade of the 230 kV bay, converting the BPT arrangement (main and transfer bus) to BD4 (double bus with four disconnect switches), including the Maracá 230 kV transmission line bay.
In addition, BR Infra implemented a new 230 kV, 50 MVAr capacitor bank and modernized the auxiliary services system, increasing operational reliability.
Civil works, electromechanical installation, and electrical works were carried out with a high level of detail, ensuring seamless integration between the upgrades and existing systems.
The management of the stages was conducted with a focus on safety, quality, and traceability, using an ERP system for real-time monitoring.
The Itapaci Substation project reflects BR Infra’s ability to execute complex high-voltage modernization works, ensuring reliability for the electrical system and contributing to the expansion of power infrastructure in Goiás.
