In a world in constant transformation like the one we experience today, it is extremely relevant to have clarity on which characteristics to seek in the professionals we work with. At BR Infra, we believe that three fundamental pillars should guide the selection and hiring process: personal values aligned with the company’s values, analytical capacity, and previous experience.

The first and most important characteristic to be evaluated in a candidate is the alignment of their personal values with the company’s values. At BR Infra, our values are the foundation of everything we do, and we believe that this alignment is fundamental for the personal satisfaction and engagement of our employees. We seek professionals who share our attitude to deliver, our resilience and strength in the face of challenges, our capacity to be empathetic, and our commitment to truth and excellence.

A culture based on shared values strengthens the teams’ ability to endure and overcome difficulties, creating a collaborative environment where people feel fulfilled and part of a cohesive whole.

We believe this is the foundation for the company’s sustainable growth and for the career development of our employees.

The second important characteristic is the candidate’s analytical capacity. In an increasingly data-driven world, it is essential to have professionals capable of analyzing information, identifying patterns, and making informed decisions.

At BR Infra, we value logic, critical thinking, and objectivity. We seek professionals who can apply their analytical skills to solve problems, optimize processes, and find opportunities for improvement. This capacity is valuable for sustaining the development of an operation exposed to such a dynamic reality.

Finally, the candidate’s previous experience is the third characteristic to be considered. In many cases, this is the first evaluation criterion in a hiring process. Although experience can bring relevant contributions to the company, being, for that very reason, an extremely important characteristic for us at BR Infra, this quality is only evaluated if the employee meets the two previous criteria.

Experienced professionals who do not share the same values as the company can, in the long run, bring more challenges to the operation than benefits. This misalignment can generate conflict, a lack of engagement, and even negatively impact the motivation and productivity of the team as a whole.

Imagine a situation where an experienced professional is hired to lead an important project, but their personal values clash with those of the company. While the organization prizes transparency, collaboration, and mutual respect, this professional may adopt an authoritarian, individualistic, and non-transparent stance. This behavior can generate distrust, demotivation, and even the departure of other team members who feel undervalued and disrespected.

On the other hand, experienced professionals who share the company’s values tend to engage more with organizational goals, contribute to a positive and collaborative culture, and serve as examples for other team members. However, if these professionals lack analytical skills, they may face difficulties in dealing with the demands of today’s corporate world.

In a scenario increasingly driven by data and technology, the ability to analyze information, identify patterns, and make informed decisions is fundamental. Professionals who do not possess this skill may have difficulty solving complex problems, making strategic decisions, and contributing to the company’s innovation.

We believe that this approach allows us to BUILD a strong and resilient culture that DEVELOPS strong and resilient teams which, in turn, SUSTAIN a strong and resilient company.
